Among the great people that led movements, fought for our rights, created resources & spaces for us to continue to be resilient as a race were powerful black WOMEN. This collaboration celebrates 30 of those women. Black Women who’s names are echoed throughout time because their lives & stories was and is black history.
In an effort to foster more leaders, resources, & spaces for black people to continue to be resilient Artboii created a pullover hoodie with his original artwork “BHM Time Piece?” to celebrate 30 black women and in return 30% of all proceeds will be going to the READING FOR BLACK LIVES Organization through the endorsement of South Queens Women’s March.

Overtime Black History and the resilience that we as black people have shown is a direct result of one generation standing on the shoulders, the hard work, the knowledge & the achievements of the previous generations. This Is what the BHM TIME PIECE represents; the pride, the History & the risiliency of black people.
Collaborator: READING FOR BLACK LIVES?
The mission of the Reading for Black Lives Project is to increase access to literary resources for Black communities across the diaspora. The project started as a series of book lists featuring Black authors and has expanded into the Black Books Fund, through which I buy books by Black authors, from Black bookstores, for Black people. Additionally, the project has also led me to organize the first annual Queens Free Book Fair for All, which provides books by BIPOC authors, free of charge to BIPOC community members throughout Queens. As of the summer of 2023, the Reading for Black Lives Project has hosted 4 Free Books Fairs across Queens, Brooklyn and the Bronx.
